A prize! I won a prize?

Have a look at what I won...

It's a 2010 Tour of Britain Yellow Jersey... signed by the eventual winner, Michael Albasini! It came in the post on Wednesday.

Some discussions have taken place since then...

• What shall I do with it? 'Wear it?' 'Not with me!' came the sharp reply...
• Sell it? But what's a thing like that worth?
• Keep it? But where?

The obvious thing would be do try to sell it. I'll never be 'taut' enough to wear it so EBAY seems to be the obvious place but for the minute; I think I'll keep it. It's been ages since I won anything so in my head this could be the start of 'something'! So I'll keep it as a sort of talisman and lucky charm...

YOU NEVER KNOW!?

The other thing that has been discussed is the fact that I have no recollection of entering a competition to win anything... if you ignore my feeble attempts to win the Lottery and the occasional bet on a horse race.

But the parcel it came in was fully named and addressed up so I won't be complaining.

For now it'll hang on the door in the lounge before it gets stuffed into the back of the drawer or cupboard somewhere; but I do know what I'll be doing come the next Tour De France... cheering on my good friend Michael into winning and upping the value of my prize... Why not?!

Yep, next year during 'Le Tour' I'll be thinking 'Come on Michael...'; 'Go Team Sky...'; even though I think Andy Schleck will run out the overall winner. You heard it here first folks, though I'm guessing he'll be the tip of many a cycling enthusiast.

Anyway I need to get on with stuff...
