Holidays. They're for resting aren't they?

To the east we went. Actually to the north east. After moving house earlier in the year, it was thought a holiday was in order or at least, a short break. So a visit to the Norfolk coastline was hastily organised.

As luck would have have it the weather visited Norfolk at the same time has us and the first day was spent dodging the raindrops. Actually it chucked it down steadily from the small hours of the night and through most of the day...

Buoyed by the idea of the reliable, summery, British weather I got in the car, drove along the coast looking for a break in the clouds...

I enjoyed Norfolk. I thought it was lovely. Haven't been there for an age but with it being so flat, it is always bloody windy. And because it is so rural... if you take a wrong turn, you just have to go back from where you came and find the right one. Apart from that (as I said earlier), lovely...

Three questions arose from my visit to that Norfolk place though...
  1. Does it have an accent? All I could detect was 'broad cockney'.
  2. When not in the holiday season... what do norFOLK do? I mean, there isn't exactly a ton of stuff to do there in the holiday season, which is partly why Norfolk was selected. That and Dave and Emma's wedding photographs...
  3. With not a lot to do... why was I so knackered when I got back?)
I might go back to Norfolk someday but it won't be any time soon... the drive back home was horrendous due to a slight car accident bringing Norfolk, (almost in it's entirety), to a total stop. This I am guessing was down to the lack of roads. Seriously, look at the map. There aren't that many.

I'm now looking to have another short holiday to make up for this one. I mean? Where else can you go on holiday and thoroughly enjoy the best of the sunshine on the way home in the car?
